GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Perform as a technical contributor on a major program involving power electronics system and detailed design. Must be able to make overall system architecture tradeoffs and decisions, as well as perform detailed power electronics design – including selection of switching components, loss calculations, cooling system design, magnetics design, and simulation. Must be well versed in inverter design for 440VAC systems. Experience with other power conversion electronics, including DC/DC converters, motor drives, and AC/DC active rectifiers is a plus. Power levels are in the 10s of kilowatts to megawatts.

WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in MatLab, Simulink.
Minimum of BSEE in power electronics. MSEE or PhD in power electronics a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant technical experience.
Inventions and papers in this field are desirable.
US citizenship desirable. Active SECRET level security clearance a plus.
