Electrical Engineer: The I&C design engineer needs to have experience on digital control systems, preferably with Foxboro I/A equipment. The work will be the preparation of a design change document to support the replacement of existing FischerPorter controllers for the Heater Drain tank control valves and a separate system for the MSRs. Understanding of the basic secondary side controls operations is important. The person will need to obtain site specific qualification to be a design change preparer. The work will include preparation and checking of drawings, preparation of software quality assurance documents, preparation and review of specifications for the control system and other engineering tasks as assigned. The electrical design engineer needs to be able to prepare schematic diagrams, perform electrical loading calculations and work primarily from a power distribution cable routing, cable termination perspective. For the design, engineering and commissioning of all aspects of power plant electrical systems and equipment for new and retrofit power projects. Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and min. of 10 yrs. power experience specifically in the design and field engineering areas for new power plant and retrofit projects and a full understanding of fossil power plants. Must be proficient in all electrical and control system areas of fossil power plants and be capable of performing multiple tasks in accordance with the project schedule and contracts as well as the policies and procedures. Must have a bias for action, strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Lotus Notes, and experience in reviewing project CPM schedules.
