Tech Writer Contracted Labor Position Title: Technical Writer/Editor (1) Is all or any portion of the work associated with this position a result of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (stimulus)? No COCS: P160 Estimated Duration of Assignment: 2/22/10 – 9/30/11 Work Location: 2425 Stevens Job Duties: Provides technical editing support to lead editors in the Publications Group and may be assigned to stand-alone projects and documents. Performs editing activities from drafts through the final version of a document. Responsible for complying to the CHPRC Style Guide and template standards. Accountable for meeting objectives and deadlines for individual tasks/projects. Develops strong working relationships with managers, document leads, and other client deliverable staff. Populates and uses appropriate tools. Proactively identifies and communicates potential issue/variances. Applies lessons learned to future efforts. Has knowledge of and potential ability to perform (at a basic level) contributing skills (including document processing, graphic design, and reprographics standards) supporting identification of best practices. Must have at least five years experience as a technical writer/editor.
